Supervision details

I am an experienced and specialised Principal Clinical Psychologist, with over 13 years post-qualification experience. In my NHS career I have largely worked in and managed CPTSD Pathways within secondary care community services. I lead and supervise a team of clinical and counselling psychologists and have been shortlisted for 'Leader of the Year' which I hope is testament to the passion and enjoyment I have in my role.

I am an accredited EMDR practitioner and incorporate ideas from trauma-focused CBT, Compassion Focused Therapy, NET and DBT into my work and supervision. I am currently training in Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) and I am enjoying being back in the learning zone and developing more relationally-based formulations in my clinical work and supervision.

My supervisory style is informal and collaborative; I see my role as creating the space for you to think reflectively about the work you are doing, deepening the formulations for these complex clients and considering what we bring into the room.

Alongside my NHS practice I have worked privately for many years and have enjoyed the different challenges this brings.

I am available to offer monthly online supervision sessions.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
