Supervision details
I offer supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists, as well as those in training, working with children, young people and adults. I also supervise a range of professionals working within educational, corporate and organisational settings, including safeguarding leads, pastoral staff and other frontline professionals.
I am an integrative supervisor, working flexibly across a range of established supervisory models to meet the needs of each supervisee and their client work. My practice is informed by the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision, the Functional Model, the Cyclical model and the Developmental Model, allowing me to adapt supervision to the supervisee’s stage of development, the clinical material presented, and the wider professional and organisational context.
Alongside my private practice, I am the Clinical and Services Director for a children and young people’s counselling charity in Dunstable, where I supervise and oversee counsellors working therapeutically with children and young people across a wide range of presentations and levels of risk. I am also the supervisor for Ash Counselling. As a Designated Safeguarding Lead, safeguarding is a core and integrated part of my supervisory practice, and I bring a strong understanding of risk assessment, thresholds for intervention, professional responsibility and ethical decision-making into supervision. I aim to offer a containing and supportive space to think clearly about safeguarding concerns while maintaining the therapeutic relationship, which is particularly valuable for supervisees working with children, young people and complex or high-risk client work.
I am passionate about supporting supervisees in navigating the emotional and ethical complexities of therapeutic work. I aim to foster reflective practice within a warm, collaborative and well-contained supervisory relationship. I offer both one-to-one and group supervision, delivered face-to-face or online.
