Supervision details
I am experienced in Clinical supervision, having supervised, qualified Clinical Psychologists as well as those in training. I develop a supervision contract to ensure clear expectations and goals of supervision. I create a psychologically safe space to facilitate reflection, and learning. I believe supervision should also be a restorative space in which our own needs within a therapeutic alliance can be considered. I have further training in CBT, CFT, DBT, whilst I also draw on models of attachment to understand a presenting difficulty or therapy dynamic.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
