Supervision details
My primary aim as a supervisor is to help you develop professionally, and to grow your confidence in counselling practice. I view supervision as a relational process between you, your clients, and me, with clients at the centre of our work. Safe and ethical practice is at the top of the list, as well as your own wellbeing. Supervision is also a mentoring process, encompassing positive enouragement, and constructive feedback. I also feel it is vital that you are heard in our sessions, and that I also learn from you. My grounding theories are Hawkins and Shohet's 7 eyed model, and Proctor's Normative, Formative, Restorative model, both developmental in their style. As an integrative practitioner, I can work with several counselling modalities.
