Supervision details
About Me:
Hello, I’m Sarah, a dedicated and experienced counselor with a passion for supporting fellow practitioners on their professional journey. With a solid foundation in counselling and my training in supervision, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the supervisory relationship.
Approach:
My approach to supervision is collaborative and person-centered, focusing on creating a safe and supportive space for exploration and growth. I believe in the importance of self-reflection and ongoing professional development, and I strive to empower supervisees to enhance their skills and confidence as practitioners.
Supervisory Models:
I have completed training in the CPCAB level 6 supervisor course, which covers a range of supervision models, including the 7 Eyed model. I draw upon these models to tailor supervision sessions to meet the individual needs and preferences of each supervisee.
Areas of Support:
Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure about managing a new client group, or simply seeking guidance and empowerment in your practice, I'm here to help. I provide support and guidance on a wide range of issues, including case management, ethical dilemmas, and personal development.
Supervision Format:
Supervision sessions can be conducted in person, via Zoom, or over the phone, offering flexibility to suit your needs and preferences. My fees are £45 for 60 minutes or £67.50 for 90 minutes.
Getting Started:
If you're interested in exploring supervision with me, please feel free to reach out via email. If you're a student counsellor, please ensure I'm on your approved supervisory list, please consider that seeking approval from your learning centre may be necessary.
I look forward to the opportunity to support you on your journey as a counsellor.
Warm regards,
Sarah
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
