Supervision details
How I work.
I provide individual and group supervision to counsellors and other professionals who work with children and young people and also adults. Since working as a qualified Supervisor I have found the work so rewarding that I am training to Masters Level 7 later on this year too.
My therapeutic modality is an integrative, humanistic relational one. I incorporate the 7 Eyed Model with the Alliance Relational Model, concentrating on the restorative, managerial and formative aspects of supervision for my supervisees. This means that our work together will not only concentrate on your work as a counsellor and professional with your clients but also on you as an individual and how the work is affecting you. I also think that Reflective Practice is integral to the supervision process and I have recently completed a training course to integrate this into my work with supervisees.
Experience
I regularly see clients for up to 1.5 hours a month for one to one supervision. My supervision sessions provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to talk about clients, discuss different ways of working with clients and feel supported and valued.
As well as my role as a Supervisor, I have several years of experience working as a Lead/Senior Counsellor in a local charity and also in a private school. I have several years of experience of working with children and young people and also adults.
Other training I have completed includes a Certificate in working with Competency in SEND for children and young people and a Youth -Relate course with the Anna Freud Centre.
I am trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and also working with neurodivergent clients with ASD and ADHD. I have also completed training in trauma focused therapy and bereavement. I have a foundation certificate in REBT therapy and also working with disordered eating.
Availability and venue.
I can do sessions face to face in Dursley where there is plenty of free parking, and also on-line or telephone if you prefer.
Fees
My fees are currently £55 per one hour session.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
