Supervision details
I was previously a Principal grade Clinical Psychologist working in the NHS, now working in private practice. I have 10 years post-qualification experience working in complex forensic mental health settings.
I offer clinical supervision from various different theoretical backgrounds, including CBT, REBT, ACT and CFT. I am an accredited EMDR therapist, so I can provide supervision from this perspective, but not at consultant level. In addition, I am trained in and can supervise around a range of risk assessments, including violence risk, sexual violence risk and self-harm and suicide.
I focus on providing specialist knowledge, with rigor around evidence-based practice and knowledge base, whilst also being sensitive to the impact of the work we do and the challenges that face us in clinical practice
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
