Supervision details

I am extremely passionate about helping and supporting others on their counselling journey, which is the reason I decided to become a Counselling Supervisor. I can offer a supportive and encouraging space for supervisees to reflect upon their clinical work and professional development and share my expertise and experience with them.

Choosing the right Supervisor is an essential part of a counsellor’s development and it is important that you find someone you feel comfortable with. I can offer an initial free introductory telephone call which gives you the opportunity to meet me, talk through any questions you may have and share your expectations. This also gives you the opportunity to see whether I am the right Supervisor for you.

I can offer you face to face sessions from my office in Farnborough, Hampshire (GU14), telephone and Zoom sessions.

Please feel free to call or email me if you would like to arrange a free chat or discuss this opportunity in more detail.

I have experience of working with a wide range of issues and I have been professionally trained in a variety of counselling theories/therapeutic approaches, including IFS Level 1 training via the IFS Institute UK. This means I can tailor our sessions to your individual needs. Outside of my private practice I worked with a Rape and Sexual Abuse charity for a number of years. I have also worked as a Cruse Bereavement Volunteer and a Place2Be counsellor in a Primary School.

My experience covers:

Trauma
Loss or bereavement
Stress or Anxiety
Anger Management
Loss of Confidence or Low Self-Esteem
Depression
Bullying
Family Conflicts
Physical or Emotional Abuse
Work Related Issues
Stillborn or Neo-natal Death

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
