Supervision details

Supervision plays a crucial role in many helping professions, including psychological therapy, counselling, psychology, nursing and so forth. It is often strongly recommended, and sometimes mandatory, for professionals to engage in regular supervision. I believe that supervision is most effective when it fosters a collaborative relationship between the supervisee and the supervisor - this is what I endeavour to work towards in my supervisory practice.

In my supervision approach, I aim to provide the same support and guidance that has proven beneficial to me over the years. This includes focusing on client material as well as exploring the relational dynamics in therapy (such as how working with specific clients might affect your personal and professional life). I draw on developmental supervision models, which I find helpful in creating a supportive environment for understanding how we may operate in our own practice. Additionally, I regularly incorporate the Seven-Eyed Model, as I believe its structured framework could help us better understand the client and the 'world' surrounding them. My approach is also shaped by other supervision models, such as the focus on the various functions of supervision, to ensure that the needs of the supervisee are met.

I completed a Level 6 Clinical Supervision training accredited by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB).

I offer both online (via Microsoft Teams) and face-to-face supervision, with in-person sessions available at the Tunstall Primary Care Centre and Blythe Bridge Primary Care Centre.

Supervision sessions can be tailored to your needs, with options for 1 or 1.5-hour sessions on a weekly, fortnightly, or monthly basis.

The cost for online supervision is £60 per hour, while face-to-face supervision is £65 per hour. For trainees, I can offer a reduced rate of £50 per hour.

I understand that choosing a suitable supervisor can be a challenging task; for this reason, I offer a free initial consultation. This brief meeting allows both of us to make a better-informed decision on how we may work together.

If you have any questions, you are welcome to reach out to me and I will be at your service!

Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you!

P.S.
In case you wish to know more about my clinical practice, I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at the University of Pécs, Hungary, I studied social psychology at the University of Helsinki, Finland, and I completed my Master of Science degree in Counselling Psychology at Keele University, England. I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and a graduate member of the British Psychological Society. In my private clinical practice, I provide psychological therapy to adults and adolescents.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Wheelchair user access
Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

As I normally offer face-to-face therapy sessions in medical centres, they are often accessible for wheelchair users as well.
