Supervision details
I am BACP accredited counsellor and trainee integrative supervisor with the prestigious Grove Practice.
In my supervision practice I work with Counsellors/therapists/social workers/health professionals, who work with adults, children and young people. This includes families, and couples.
I have a wealth of experience working with these age groups and demographics, both as a psychotherapist and in the social work and education sectors. I have experience of working in short-term, time-limited ways and understand that endings can sometimes feel frustrating or leave you with a sense that there was more to explore.
I use the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision that includes a focus on the relationship between the client and therapist, and between the therapist and supervisor, along with how these fit into the wider context. I support my Supervisees to bring themselves to our sessions. It is an opportunity to deepen understanding of yourself and your practice. Supervision thrives with a trusting, and collaborative relationship. I encourage you to bring all areas of your practice, including client work, contracting, ethics and your personal development.
I use the integrative approach and welcome Supervisees from all modalities, I've knowledge of person centred, CBT, transactional analysis, existential, gestalt, and creative therapies, for individuals and groups. As in my counselling work, I adapt to each supervisee’s way of being, using verbal and non verbal techniques. My focus is on supporting you to find your own way of working.
I welcome an initial call, to enable you to check how you connect with me, before booking a session if this is something you would like to explore.
Reduced rates for trainees.
Sessions are 60 minutes or 90 minutes. Also open to discuss time lengths that you may need, that differ from these.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
