Supervision details
Thank you for reading my profile. I appreciate that finding a supervisor to support your work can feel like a daunting process. It can raise lots of questions and that is why I offer an initial free, no obligation session to see if we both feel comfortable with one another.
Like my therapy practice, my supervision is integrative-informed by different theoretical frameworks and models with a foundation of a relational approach. I offer a safe, transparent and open approach and believe that sometimes being able to bring humour, where appropriate, into the supervisory relationship can facilitate a helpful reflective space.
I have extensive experience from previously working as a Therapy Lead for The Priory group, managing a team of substantive and sessional therapists, offering risk management, reflective practice and support for working with complex mental health. I am able to fully appreciate how working with clients for an organisation can sometimes feel frustrating and ethically challenging, when there are policies to adhere to.
I am also able to offer supervision for anyone working with young people aged 11-18 years and have experience of previously being within a senior school setting myself. An area of specialist interest in my therapeutic practice is working with eating disorders and recognise that this can raise questions and ethical considerations in our practice. If you are looking for a supervisor to support you in this area, please do reach out.
I am passionate about supporting both new and experienced therapists/counsellors and mental health professionals to develop and grow in their roles, and believe that for this to happen the supervisory relationship is key. Please feel free to get in touch if I can help.
