Supervision details
My training is in the Human Givens approach which covers a number of areas which would be the cause of distress for people. Whilst Human Givens trainees and qualified counsellors can only attend supervision with a Human Givens Supervisor, I am able to offer supervision to anyone whose own training is in line with solution-focused, client-focused work. The Human Givens Institute is a partner in the SCOPED project with 5 other counselling registered bodies, which aims to align the training and regulation of counsellors, regardless of where and how they were trained.
I also work for the charity Action for Neurodiversity and have worked with many neurodiverse clients since autumn 2020. I am also experienced in delivering trauma therapeutic techniques and am an examiner for Birth Trauma Resolution's trainee practitioners.
The Human Givens Institute (HGI) is both a membership organisation and a professional body representing the interests of those in the caring and teaching professions who have an interest in or utilise the human givens approach. Counselling Directory register Registered Members (MHGI) and Fellow Members (FHGI), who will have completed the Post Graduate Practitioner's Assessment (Part III) and who are fully qualified to practise as a human givens therapist or counsellor. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
