Supervision details
Having run a successful private practice for some years now, I am excited to now be able to bring that experience to others who are in private practice. I focus my supervision on working with counsellors either considering setting up their own private practice, or currently running their own private practice.
I consider supervision not only a safe space to reflect on your client work, but also a space to reflect on your own processes in your counselling work, alongside supporting you as you navigate the challenges of running your own private practice.
'Going it alone' can lead to anxious and uncertain moments. I will be there to support you through these moments, also bringing in my experience as a counsellor specialising in anxiety, I can help you navigate some of those 'not good enough', 'am I out of my depth' , 'I can't do this' and 'imposter syndrome' moments.
My CPCAB Level 6 Supervision training focused on working with both the cyclical model of supervision and the seven eyed model of supervision and my experience as a counsellor is Humanistic Integrative, Person Centred, Gestalt and TA along with CBT.
I tend to favour working with the cyclical model of supervision, but incorporate both the cyclical and seven eyed model in my work.
Our sessions will focus on the relationship between you and your client and between you and me as your supervisor.
Our work together will look at
- Contracting
- How the supervision session is relevant to your client work
- Exploring your work with you client
- Using the supervision space to learn from your client work and how to enhance that therapeutic relationship
- Review your client work assisting you to reflect on your standards and quality of work
- Alongside supporting you with your client work we will also look at ways to support and grow your private practice and increase your confidence as a counsellor working in your own private practice.
Generally 1.5 hours of supervision is good practice, but we can work with your individual supervision requirements, please ring me to discuss.
I offer a free 15 minute telephone call to discuss your requirements and check if we are a 'good fit'. You may well get my ansaphone so please do leave me a message.
Session fees are £60 for 1 hour, there is movement with this fee depending on your circumstances.
I can work online via zoom or face to face from my office in Poole, Dorset
If you are interested in group supervision please ask, depending on enquiries and availability this may be possible

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
