Supervision details
I am a Clinical Supervisor working with Student Counsellors, Counsellors in practice and other Clinical Professionals. I provide online one to one and group sessions. Working together with supervisees enables me to fulfill my journey as both a Counsellor and Supervisor. I have experience of working with clients who are experiencing concerns and worries including anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, relationship concerns, school, college and university worries and past traumatic events. My present client's age range is 17 years to 77 years.
I work from an integrative perspective and utilise different aspects of person centered, psychodynamic, play and CBT therapies to suit my client and their presentation. My aim is to support my supervisees in being the best that they can be. I am excited to work online, with those who share my areas of expertise and my passion for counselling. I support my supervisees by exploring together the client work that they bring, whilst maintaining the safety of their clients by ensuring they adhere to the ethical framework of their governing body. Also, encouraging and signposting to relevant CPD which will enhance their knowledge whilst always being in service to their client. Whilst we work collaboratively my supervisee will be open to challenge, this will assist them to continue to grow and develop confidence in their abilities.
Fees for Supervision:
Counsellors and other Professionals in Practice (1.5 hours)- £70.00
(1 hour top up - £55.00)
Group Supervision (1.5 hours - £20.00 per Practicing Counsellor) maximum of 4 participants.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
