Supervision details

I hold a Level 7 Advanced Diploma in Counselling Supervision, and the Professional Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling; I am a registered member of the NCPS, I follow their guidelines and work to their ethical framework alongside that of the BACP. I have experience of teaching on counselling courses and have a supervisory practice working alongside other counsellors.

As a Counselling Supervisor I offer both clinical and non-clinical supervision. As within the counselling I offer, I work from a person-centred perspective and within supervision my approach is underpinned by Inskipp and Proctor’s Functional Model and Hawkins & Shohet’s Seven Eyed Model of Supervision. I work in a way that assists the supervisee to look at their possible blind spots and focus on different permutations of relationships; the client experience, the dynamics between the counsellor and client & the inter-relational experience between us as supervisor/supervisee, as well as the wider context including social constructs, sense of culture, difference and diversity.

Supervision is available to qualified counsellors and counsellors-in-training (and on placement). I have supervised a diverse group of counsellors ranging from trainees to experienced practitioners. It's a pleasure to support the work of others and to observe and foster professional development.
