Supervision details
Apart from working from an Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling Supervision framework, I use a supervisory style that is wholly Relational and it is also supported by the use of the lens of Intersectionality (Crenshaw, 1989) and the approach found in Intercultural Psychotherapy and Supervision (Nafsiyat Intercultural Therapy Centre.)
Exploring the themes of Identity, Positionality and Intersectionality as they present themselves and unfold consciously and unconsciously in client-therapist relationships, supervisee-supervisor relationships and client-therapist-supervisor triads: this approach greatly enhances clients' experiences in therapy and their overall wellbeing whilst supervisees' professional practice and personal growth are enhanced as well.
As I work cross-culturally, a wide range of practitioners with different backgrounds and intersectionality can benefit from my clinical supervision services.
In-person supervision is available in Lincoln. I offer remote/online clinical supervision services too.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
