Supervision details
Whether you are taking your first steps upon your counselling training journey or have amassed a number of years of post-qualification experience, I hope that I can help. I offer supervision sessions remotely via webcam allowing counselling professionals to fit supervision around their work from a place comfortable and convenient for them.
As a trained integrative counsellor with a person-centred core, person centred elements within my supervision practice are held dear. Within our sessions I aim to provide a friendly and accepting environment where you feel able to be you and at ease enough to be honest about your work and your individual process.
My supervision is informed by theories of integrative & person-centred supervision such as Shohet and Hawkins' 7 Eyed Model and the Integrative Development Model. As a Supervisor I view the supervisory space as a safe and reflective space where we shine a light on areas of practice, ethics, safeguarding and ways of working.
I hold over ten years of post qualification experience as a counsellor working privately and within EAP schemes and qualified as a counselling supervisor in 2024. In addition to my individual practice I work with a large UK based Rape and Incest Charity and have experience of providing group work supervision to counselling students alongside my individual counselling supervision work. The private supervision I provide is primarily for those supervisees who are working individually with adults over the age of eighteen years. Although I have worked with young people previously I do not currently provide supervision for this area within my private practice.
I hold professional accredited status with NCPS (National Counselling and Psychotherapists Association) and in addition hold a clear Enhanced DBS Certificate. Within my practice I see supervisees who are members of NCPS and other counselling associations. As a previous member of the BACP I am very familiar with BACP requirements for membership and accreditation and am familiar also with the SCoPEd framework recently adopted across many of the counselling association frameworks.
My supervision fees are £50.00 per hour or £75.00 for a one and a half hour supervision session.
Choosing the right person to work with in supervision is so important. Please do reach out for a no obligation conversation about your supervision requirements. I don't charge for this as I believe that the best supervision sessions happen when you are comfortable enough to bring in all of your practice, so its important you get the right fit of supervisor for you. I would be happy to take the time to talk through your requirements and answer any questions you might have. To arrange a time to talk, please email me at heidimellonie@protonmail.com.
