Heidi Mellonie MA, MBACP Registered
Working from quiet and dedicated therapy rooms in central Bedford my counselling approach is person centred, friendly, compassionate and holistic. My aim as a therapist is to provide a safe space for you to focus upon you, your experiences and your individual needs.
A bit about me
I am a registered and experienced counsellor who has been working with clients since 2014. In addition to my own private practice, my professional counselling experience includes several years of working with adults and young people within the charity sector for national mental health and crisis charities. I am also an experienced and active Employee Assist Programme counsellor for a national company. Some of the many areas I help clients work through include anxiety, depression, abuse, relational difficulties, bereavement and stress, although this is not an exhaustive list.
How do sessions work?
At this point in time you may have a clear idea of what you'd like to discuss in therapy or there may be a variety of concerns you would like to bring to counselling to work on. In our sessions I will work with you in a collaborative way at your pace without rush or judgement offering you a safe space to speak of your experiences and how they have impacted upon you. I hope that through the counselling process you will feel able to explore the concerns that have led you to consider therapy, make sense of past experiences and gain new perspectives on the areas of your life where you might feel stuck or find challenging.
Free Initial, Pre session, No obligation Chat
Prior to committing to a face to face session it is natural that you may have some questions. I'm happy to take the time to talk to you about how I might work with your particular worries or concerns and answer any questions you may have. I offer a free, pre-session, no obligation telephone chat for all clients who are thinking of coming to counselling. If you would like to arrange this please do get in touch by phone, email or text message (I will respond as quickly as possible) I look forward to hearing from you.
