Supervision details
As an Person Centred /Integrative supervisor I am able to offer extensive knowledge and experience. Having supervision for over twenty five years, I have gained a solid understanding of how supervision provides a safe space to enable untangling the chaos to creativity. A time to reflect and de-mistify the therapeutic process. My personal supervision leaves me feeling confident and at times I grow and discover things about myself in an ethical, safe confidential space. I may have area's that need further work but that’s ok because together we will find a way that feels right. I feel safe and my worries are respectfully acknowledged and addressed in a manner that is comfortable to me. I’m allowed to make mistakes, and not be judged, be confident that my supervisor is honest and transparent in their approach to challenging me and enabling me to build my competency skills. Experiencing good supervision encourages continued professional development and opportunities to discover hidden skills and strengths. Recognition and praise when it's deserved, empowerment in taking risks, has clear expectations, boundaries and confident in supporting me if safeguarding matters arise. I believe professional supervision involves high ethical standards and integrity, an interest in me personally, a detached yet concerned and compassionate eye over the landscape of counselling process. I work with a Person Centred / Integrative approach and supervise trainees and qualified practitioners from various models, both in groups and one-to-one. I also supervise other professionals in the corporate sector especially with vulnerable young people and adults. I have a clear understanding of the pressure and expectations of corporate roles. I am able to provide recent Testimonials regarding supervisee's experience of receiving Supervision with me, if you would like to have the opportunity to view please contact me. Professional supervision for corporate organisations and training counsellors. Please contact me for prices as I am able to offer you clinical supervision with extensive knowledge and experience. BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
