Supervision details
I welcome trainee and qualified counsellors, psychotherapists, CBT therapists, PWPs, coaching professionals and those working in helping professions.
Clinical supervision should be a place where you feel supported, challenged and inspired to develop both personally and professionally. My approach is collaborative, reflective and grounded in building a trusting supervisory relationship where curiosity, openness and honest discussion are encouraged.
With over 28 years' clinical experience across private practice, NHS Talking Therapies, the blue light services, the criminal justice system and senior leadership roles, I understand the diverse challenges therapists face. I tailor supervision to your individual stage of development, therapeutic approach and professional goals, whether you are a trainee, newly qualified practitioner or an experienced clinician.
Supervision provides a confidential space to reflect on your clinical work, celebrate successes, explore challenges and strengthen your professional confidence. Together we will develop formulation skills, enhance clinical decision-making, consider ethical dilemmas, explore risk and safeguarding, reflect on relational dynamics and support your ongoing professional growth.
My supervision combines warmth, encouragement and thoughtful challenge. I believe the best supervision enables practitioners to think critically, deepen self-awareness and develop confidence in their own clinical judgement while maintaining the highest standards of ethical and client-centred practice.
I work with counsellors, psychotherapists, CBT therapists, PWPs and other helping professionals across NHS, organisational and private practice settings. Whether you are working towards accreditation, developing your practice or seeking experienced supervision to support your continuing professional development, my aim is to provide a safe, reflective and professionally enriching space where both you and your clients can thrive.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
