Supervision details
Welcome! I am a qualified Supervisor and an experienced and skilled Senior Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist. I offer individual Clinical Supervision to both trainee and qualified Counsellors and Psychotherapists and other Health Care Professionals. I have a private therapy room in Morchard Bishop, Crediton in beautiful Devon. I also offer face to face, telephone and Wats App or Skype sessions as well. Business and Charity rates are negotiable and I offer Group Supervision. Please contact me if you are interested in Supervision: Email: Christina_Hutchings@hotmail.com Mobile: 0754 897 2668 Website: www.christinahutchings.uk
My main Supervision Model is the Seven Eyed Model (Hawkins and Shohet). Clinical Supervision gives you the space to explore your client work, reflect on how you are working and look at different models and ways of being with clients, to enhance your therapeutic work. It gives you the opportunity to identify things which may impact on both you and your clients and your relationship. I believe an important part of my role is to get to know you as a person and as a therapist, developing our working alliance, offering you encouragement and support with your client work, and referring to the BACP Ethical Framework, keeping you and your clients safe.

Training and Experience:
I initially trained in Psychology and Community Work, using my skills to support homeless children and vulnerable families in London. I taught Psychology and whilst working in the Public Sector for many years, I had the opportunity to obtain Management & Supervision qualifications. My Therapeutic Model is Gestalt and I hold qualifications to an advanced level. I am qualified in CBT and Transactional Analysis. I completed my counselling training at the Iron Mill College in Exeter and the Heartwood Institute in Dartington. I am a Registered Member of the BACP and fully insured. I am an Accredited Psychotherapist with the National Counselling Society.
During my Counselling training, I worked for a low cost Counselling Agency in Mid Devon for several years, supporting both young people and adults, and in addition, in a Family Therapy Clinic, as a Family Reflector. I provided supervision and mentoring for a Young People's Charity: working with young people and schools, and until recently, I have been supporting older adults with dementia and anxiety.
I am currently working with the Intercom Trust, and for the last 10 years with the Amber Foundation and local Secondary schools, providing supervision to their employees. I work with a Mid Devon Youth Club, supporting and mentoring Young People, which is really fun and enjoyable too. I believe that my extensive training and experiences have given me valuable insight and knowledge into many different areas that impact on clients and counselling work.

The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society
This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations.
In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
