Supervision details

As a supervisor I work with supervisee's who work with adults and those who work with children and young people.  I have a wealth of expereince as a school based counsellor (primary & secondary), mental health manager and supervisor within the education sector as well as being CPCAB trainer for school based counsellors.  Never has there been a greater need to support the adults around children and young people.  I have a particular passion for this work grounded in attachement theory, play therapy, solution focused and CBT,  adverse childhood expereinces and nuroscience.  Understanding the emotions behind all our behaviour, but particularlly what it might be expressing for your young people, has never been more important.  As a qualified supervisor, counsellor and trainer of counselling qualifications, I am keen to support those entering the profession  I know how much time, money and personal dedication it takes to qualify let alone find paid work as a counsellor.  My mission therefore is to offer trainee and newly trained counsellors low cost supervision at £30.00 per 1.5 hour session until they start earning money as a counsellor. I feel that both newly qualified counsellors and trainees need particular support and guidance in the first few years to build on their training, develop their own practise and continue their own self development. As a counselling trainer I am well placed to offer this on going development for you as you build your hours, client workload and own practise.   Once a counsellor is earning money I will start to charge a fee of £60.00 per 1.5 hour session, . With my own background in person centred & psychodynamic counselling, as well as child therapy, I am able to work with a wide range of client groups.  Please do give me a call if you would like to discuss your own particular supervision needs. I offer supervsion online, on the phone and face to face in Tetbury, Gloucestershire. I work every weekday afternoon and evening except for Friday and currently have spaced available,

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
