Supervisor Maureen Brumby, Registered Member of BACP @ Mornview Therapeutic Services
TAKING NEW SUPERVISEES!
My name is Maureen Anne Brumby and I am a trained, qualified and experienced Counselling Supervisor since September 2014. I work with qualified and unqualified counsellors in broad contexts; individual, college/university and organisations.
I am trained in the famous Hawkins and Shohet approach and I am available NOW to take on new supervisees or supervisees looking to change their supervision.
I practice from my own dedicated, private and appropriate space from my office in Ellesmere Port. I can also do home supervisions or supervisions within organisational settings.
Supervision is a specific requirement of the BACP and the counselling profession generally.
I am a very ethical human being and supervisor and I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework and Code of Conduct.
Key to supervision is my role in ensuring that you are practising safely, ethically and professionally with your clients. Additionally, as your counselling supervisor I can help you to reduce the risk of 'vicarious trauma' or burnout, helping you to practice with continued passion and energy and i pride myself on facilitating an attitude of healthy and positive outlook to the therapy you provide to your clients.
Student counsellors will receive support and guidance to complete their placement hours and relevant reports.
Supervision sessions last for one and a half hours and you should receive supervision in line with BACP guidelines.
