Maureen Brumby, Registered Member of BACP @ Mornview Therapeutic Services
The current Coronavirus pandemic crisis presents new and challenging ways to provide counselling to the public. My practice is ready and available to take on new clients who need emotional and psychological care and treatment at this time via remote counselling (Phone, Email, Zoom).
Do connect with counselling if you feel it will be helpful especially at this particularly isolating time. I have capacity to communicate with you via Zoom, phone or email still provide an excellent, ethical and caring service.
I have been a Qualified, Experienced and Professional therapist for 16 years with thousands of hours client practice. I am an experienced Counsellor and Clinical Counselling Supervisor. I work with a broad range of issues.
Your mental health and your wellbeing matters to me enormously. Your healing process towards a more positive and healthy 'you' is something we work towards together.
We are living in difficult and challenging times and problems can seem impossible to resolve even the smallest of issues. Talking with a skilled and experienced Counsellor can help you to feel heard, achieve clarity and understanding. It can provide you with guidance and direction and help you to get to where you want to be in life.
In my practice I work with young people, adults and older people who present with a vast range of emotional and psychological problems. The therapy relationship is key to clients feeling safe and that they are working with someone whom they can place their trust in. In session we go at your pace in your time and you have space to communicate openly and honestly about the things that are troubling you. Not all clients aim for an outcome or resolution but if this is required we can work towards achieving a sense of feeling settled, resolved and fulfilled.
I tailor my therapeutic approaches and interventions according to each individual client and what they bring along to counselling.
Many clients have already commented that they feel safe and able to communicate well via alternative counselling.
My key approaches include Person Centred, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Inner Child work, Transactional Analysis, Schema Therapy.
My areas of expertise and competency are:
Post Traumatic Stress, Relationship Problems, Infidelity, Low Self Esteem, Anger, Bereavement, Anxiety, Depression, Panic Attacks, Self Harm, Rape, Sexual Assault, Childhood Sexual Abuse, Identity Problems, Trauma and Stress, Dissociation, Infidelity, Attachment Problems, Suicidal Thoughts or Intent, Loss, Bereavement, Low Mood, Bipolar and more. No doubt the Coronavirus Pandemic will bring with it unique issues for each and every one of us and I am ready and willing to work with these problems with clients.
I accept my clients totally and unconditionally with warmth and genuine desire and commitment to help; I am motivated to helping you within my capacity as a professionally trained and experienced Counsellor.
My phone, email and Zoom counselling service extends to:
Anywhere in the United Kingdom
I provide counselling from my own dedicated counselling space in my office Ellesmere Port.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy or CBT is a scientifically tested therapy approach which focuses on creating postitive change in the here and now. It can help to create lasting alternative ways to think, feel and behave. I feel passionate about this particular therapy approach and I can work with specific issues such as anxiety, depression, panic attacks, OCD, agoraphobia, social anxiety, and many, many more issues.
Additionally, I am a Clinical Counselling Supervisor for qualified and unqualified/trainee counsellors. Supervision is an essential element of safe and ethical therapeutic practice and it is a requirement of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).
When you are searching for the courage to heal yourself and find that you are ready to create positive, healthy change in your life, you will be on the right track towards a new and healthy 'you', so why not take that journey with me TODAY!
