About me

NHS counsellings lists are bursting at the seams due to current demand in services so private therapy can be your best option and it doesn't have to be forever!

For 16 years I have provided excellent therapeutic relationships; warmth, acceptance, respect and confidentiality.  This enables us to work safely, ethically and professionally.

Though I am an Integrative Counsellor, predominantly I am a CBT Therapist and I work with a broad range of psychological and emotional client issues.  Anxiety and Depression are especially prevalent at this time with COVID-19 continuing to be present, in one way or another, in all our lives.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy or CBT is a scientifically tested therapy approach which focuses on creating postitive change in the here and now. It is a powerful approach and can help to create lasting alternative and healthier ways to think, feel and behave.  I have many success stories in my repertoire of therapy outcomes.

"I believe we all have a right to be heard - once that quiet inner VOICE within us feels sufficiently safe, strong and confident to speak out. And when you do, it will set you free..."

As a skilled and experienced Counsellor I can help you to feel heard, achieve clarity, understanding and most of all help you to feel highly SELF AWARE with an ability to understand your own processes.  Empowering stuff!

Depending on your needs, my key approaches include Person Centred, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Inner Child work, Transactional Analysis, Schema Therapy.

I offer suitable platforms for remote therapy with over-16s and adults via:

* Zoom

* Skype

* Phone

Additionally, I am a Counselling Supervisor for qualified counsellors.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
