Supervision details
I come to supervision with 12 years of experience as a counsellor, and I also teach on counselling programmes. I am accredited with NCPS. I qualified in counselling supervision (June 2024). I work in partnership with my supervisees and we learn and develop together. My focus is on helping supervisees review, develop and deliver best practices for their clients. Supervisees will be invited to participate as equals so we can engage in meaningful and enjoyable discussions. It is important that supervisees feel at ease with me so they can open up and review their practice.
We will work from your current level of competence, ensuring you have the opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills required to advance your practice. I may challenge you, and make suggestions, but you, make the decisions. The bottom line is our commitment to ethical practice.
My approach is holistic, checking in on your well-being as your work is challenging. We will have regular appointments but also the opportunity to contact me for guidance between sessions if required. We will discuss your ongoing career development.
Student Counsellor Supervision
As a lecturer on counselling courses (CPCAB and University of Ulster), I understand what is required of students on placements.
Cost - £45 per 90-minute session but concessions apply if you are a student counsellor or have limited income from counselling.
The next step - phone 07581031915, text or jemcbt@gmail.com and I will get back to you asap. I will offer you a preliminary online or face-to-face session (both free). I will be happy to answer further questions at any stage of this process. I look forward to hearing from you.
