Supervision details
I currently supervise both qualified and trainee Counselling Psychologists and Psychotherapists. I can also accommodate for small groups (2-3 people). Depending on your requirements and need, supervision can either be integrative pulling together my clinical knowledge from the different client groups I have worked with, or it can be tailored more specifically to either Cognitive Behavioural approaches; Psychodynamic Psychotherapy; Existential Phenomenological Psychology; working with children and young people; Trauma focused therapy. I am not a Psychoanalytic supervisor however within supervision we will often look together at the dynamics of your therapeutic relationships with clients and potential feelings of transference and counter-transference. I have a very open approach to supervision and encourage an atmosphere where you can talk openly about your clinical work, without fear of judgement. I will always offer a combination of support and encouragement but also more concrete guidance on the work you are doing and areas you can explore in your sessions. If there is a particular strand of therapy you need supervision for, please do get in contact and we can discuss it further.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
