Supervision details
The supervision I provide is humanistic and integrative in style. I bring to a supervisee the knowledge and experiences of all my areas of interest and differing perspectives within a safe, comfortable, supportive and confidential environment. These areas of interest include Transactional Analysis, trauma, body and somatic orientated psychotherapy. I have many years experience working with different people from all walks of life and have worked within different clinical settings supporting a broad range of psychological and emotional issues. In addition, I have experience in providing consultancy for child care providers whose support staff work with young people presenting with severe behavioural and psychological issues. I’ve also worked as part of a team in a therapeutic community that catered for clients with diagnosed personality disorders. My main aim as a supervisor is to ensure that those who come to me for supervision are addressing the needs of their clients as well as facilitating and supporting them in their professional development. I work collaboratively with my supervisees guiding, informing and supporting them to enhance awareness and their practice generally in a non judgemental environment. I aim to facilitate, support and encourage supervisees that work with me to reflect on their work. When useful I maintain an observing eye on transference and how it is played out within the different relationships of the therapy process. Supervisees that have not had that visibility to transference within their training report finding this of great value to them. I do at times when appropriate provide information and direction in the interest of safe practice and the well-being of my supervisees and their clients. I fully support the continuing development of self awareness within supervision sessions. I work with Supervisee’s face to face or via Zoom or other similar online resource. I charge £60 - £90 per hour on a sliding scale. Group supervision on request. I have a Clinical Supervision Diploma. I am a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist and I have been working in a supervisory capacity since 2007.

The Association for Counselling and Therapy Online

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
