  • >Supervisor Catherine Cooke BA(hons), PG DIP Counselling, MBACP Accred, Supervisor Cert.

I am an experienced, accredited counselling practitioner offering supervision.

I offer you a professional, but relaxed, place in which to collaboratively explore and reflect upon your practice.  I bring a non-defensive attitude, patience, humour and honesty to our relationship.  I enjoy working with, and learning from, the therapists I form this supervisory relationship with.  I am comfortable working with supervisees from other theoretical backgrounds and approaches. I enjoy the privilege of working with experienced, newly qualified or trainee therapists.

I have been running my own private practice for over a decade with previous work across a wide range of therapeutic contexts including working with young people in schools, bereavement care, the NHS and with survivors of sexual abuse.  I am a qualified Psychologist and I undertook my counselling training within the Person Centred Approach.  I base my practice on an integrative perspective, rooted in a humanistic framework which has been developed through a variety of training throughout my career.

I am an accredited member of BACP and work within BACP’s ethical framework.

I work from locations in both the West End of Glasgow and Bishopbriggs in East Dunbartonshire.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
