My supervision website is https://ruthmcilroysupervision.wordpress.com/

I am currently working online, using Zoom.

I'm an MBACP Senior Accredited Supervisor with many years NHS and private practice experience. I offer supervision for qualified person-centred, integrative, relational and humanistic counsellors/therapists, and practitioners in other helping professions. I work in a relational and creative way, and my supervision will support your clinical work both collaboratively and in a creatively challenging way.

My aim as a supervisor is to help you develop your practice, and to offer a safe and stimulating space in which you can share both successes and dilemmas. I would hope you could use supervision with me to develop as a practitioner in a creative space, becoming increasingly reflective about your work, building your own best practice, and finding your skills, confidence and effectiveness as a practitioner developing.

I would hope to encourage you to explore work with clients without feeling defensive or judged. You may also wish to be open to a fresh perspective on your practice, and may appreciate appropriate challenge in the spirit of mutual interest in developing your learning edge, and self-enquiry as to best practice.

I have been working in mental health (NHS, private practice, counselling agencies, EAP, universities) since 2002, and am a BACP Senior Accredited Supervisor. I have substantial experience offerring individual and group supervision to counsellors/therapists in private practice, to NHS staff, to staff in counselling agencies, and to non-counsellor helping professionals.

I work online using Zoom, or (when face-to-face) from premises in West Sheffield, on Mondays to Wednesdays. These are quiet, private consulting rooms, with free parking and good bus routes. This is a welcoming environment, with disabled access. When online, I work in a private room, using equipment with firewalls, virus protection and password protection.

Supervision is offered at a fee of £50 per hour.

Choosing the right supervisor is important to your practice. I welcome you to come and talk openly and freely about your supervision needs in a non-chargeable half hour session.
