Supervision details
I offer a supportive, collaborative, and reflective supervision space for counsellors, psychotherapists, trainees, and helping professionals seeking to develop their practice within a safe and ethically grounded environment.
My approach to supervision is rooted in the belief that effective supervision should provide both support and constructive challenge. I aim to create a relationship where supervisees feel able to explore their client work openly, reflect on their therapeutic relationships, and deepen their understanding of themselves as practitioners.
I view supervision as much more than a review of client work. It is an opportunity to develop professional confidence, enhance self-awareness, strengthen ethical decision-making, and maintain the wellbeing necessary for sustainable practice. I encourage reflective exploration of clinical work while remaining mindful of the personal, professional, and organisational contexts that can influence both therapist and client.
My Supervision Approach
My supervision style is warm, relational, and collaborative. I strive to create a non-judgemental environment where supervisees feel supported in bringing successes, uncertainties, challenges, and mistakes without fear of criticism.
Drawing on an integrative perspective, I work flexibly to meet the individual needs of each supervisee. Together we may explore:
I believe that growth occurs when supervisees feel both supported and appropriately challenged. My aim is to help practitioners develop confidence in their own clinical judgement while remaining curious, reflective, and open to ongoing learning.
Supporting Trainee Counsellors
I particularly enjoy supporting trainee counsellors as they develop their therapeutic identity and confidence. Training can be both rewarding and demanding, and supervision plays a vital role in helping trainees integrate theory, develop practical skills, and navigate the emotional impact of client work.
I believe that effective supervision is built on trust, openness, curiosity, and mutual respect. My goal is to help supervisees develop a reflective and sustainable practice that benefits both themselves and the clients they serve.
I offer supervision both online and in person and welcome enquiries from trainees, newly qualified counsellors, experienced practitioners, and other helping professionals seeking a supportive and reflective supervisory relationship.
