Supervision details

I offer reflective, formulation-led clinical supervision for psychologists and other mental health professionals seeking a thoughtful, collaborative space to develop their clinical practice. My approach is grounded in curiosity, formulation and professional reflection, supporting supervisees to think more deeply about their clients, therapeutic relationships, and their own development as practitioners.

As an HCPC-registered Counselling Psychologist with extensive NHS experience, my work is informed by Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), EMDR, CBT and psychodynamic thinking within an integrative framework. Rather than focusing solely on techniques or interventions, supervision aims to develop a shared understanding of each client’s difficulties, consider alternative formulations, and explore how meaningful therapeutic change may be facilitated.

I welcome supervisees working with a wide range of psychological presentations, including trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, eating disorders, obesity, physical health conditions, chronic illness and complex emotional difficulties. I also enjoy supporting clinicians who are developing confidence in psychological formulation, integrating different therapeutic models, or navigating the complexities of working within physical healthcare settings.

I particularly enjoy supervising clinicians who are interested in formulation-led, integrative practice and in developing confidence in working beyond diagnostic labels towards a deeper psychological understanding of their clients. Supervision provides an opportunity to think collaboratively, remain curious, tolerate uncertainty, and develop formulations that meaningfully guide clinical decision-making while remaining responsive to each individual’s unique experiences and context. I aim to create a reflective space in which uncertainty can be explored openly, clinical thinking can deepen, and both therapist and client remain at the centre of the work.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
