Supervision details
As an experienced Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist, I bring experience from a wide range of settings, including inpatient and outpatient mental health services, specialist eating disorder services and neurorehabilitation. I am particularly interested in the mind-body connection and my experience allows me to understand the unique interplay between the brain and body.
As well as the specialist areas above I also have extensive experience working with various difficulties including anxiety conditions, depression, trauma, emotion regulation and pain. Another area of particular interest is Persistent physical symptoms including FND.
My experience has included both NHS and private organisations. I have worked as the lead for a large therapy team and as national Clinical Lead for a rehabilitation service, as well as developing my own private practice. My leadership and service development experience has taught me a great deal about what people value from psychological services. I hope to bring this knowledge into supervision, particularly for clinicians developing their own psychology service or private practice.
I am an integrative practitioner and utilise various models in my work including CBT, ACT, schema therapy and CFT as well as DBT and IFS informed work. I have a specialist interest in EMDR and am accredited with EMDR Europe. I also currently provide neuro-rehabilitation services.
Ultimately, I aim to offer a warm, thoughtful and reflective space that supports growth, confidence and clinical development. If you would like to arrange brief introductory chat to see if I'm a good fit, please do get in touch.
I have completed supervisor training with the University of Southampton.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
