Supervision details

I offer online supervision to therapists and students seeking a thoughtful, clinically grounded space in which to reflect on their work. My approach is collaborative, relational and evidence-informed, with attention not only to clinical decisions, but also to the emotional, ethical and interpersonal processes that shape therapeutic practice.

Supervision can provide space to think more deeply about the therapeutic relationship, including patterns that may emerge between therapist and client, the practitioner’s use of self, parallel processes, boundaries, risk, power and difference, and the wider cultural and systemic contexts surrounding the work. Rather than moving too quickly towards solutions, I aim to support supervisees in remaining curious about complexity, tolerating uncertainty and developing a more reflective and ethically responsive way of practising.

I have extensive experience supporting university students at bachelor’s and master’s levels in the UK and internationally, including through clinical placements, reflective practice and the development of professional identity. My background in psychodynamic practice, music psychotherapy, counselling, research and ethics informs a supervisory approach that attends to both the clinical material and the practitioner’s evolving relationship with their work.

Sessions are shaped around the supervisee’s individual context and may include case reflection, ethical dilemmas, clinical formulation, relational dynamics, professional boundaries, the emotional impact of practice, research and academic work, or questions arising through training and professional development.

My aim is to create a warm, respectful and critically reflective space in which supervisees can think with greater freedom, question what may otherwise remain unexamined, and become more attuned to the clinical, relational and ethical meanings emerging within their work. Through this process, I hope to support greater clinical depth, professional integrity and confidence in their own reflective judgement.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
