Supervision details

I am an integrative counselling practitioner and supervisor working in private practice, offering supportive and reflective supervision underpinned by the Cyclical Model of Supervision. I view supervision as a collaborative and developmental process that enhances self-awareness, ethical practice, and professional growth, while prioritising the wellbeing of both supervisee and client.

Using the five stages of the Cyclical model; Contract, Focus, Space, Bridge, and Review. I provide a clear and flexible framework for each supervision session. The contract stage ensures clarity of purpose and safety; focus identifies key areas for exploration; space provides opportunity for deep reflection and exploration of practice; bridge supports integration of insights into future work; and review consolidates learning and tracks development over time.

My integrative approach allows me to draw on a range of theories and techniques to meet the unique needs of each supervisee. I aim to create a safe, trusting environment where counsellors can explore challenges openly, reflect on their professional identity, and build confidence in their clinical decision-making. My goal is to support practitioners in developing and strengthening competence, resilience, and a reflective stance that sustains ethical and effective counselling practice.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
