Supervision details
Supervision is an integral part of counselling practice, and I understand choosing a supervisor can feel overwhelming with so many things to consider, from experience to that all important first impression. Maybe you are looking for guidance and support as you begin your counselling placement? You may be a therapist seeking change in your area of practice, increasing your skills and looking for fresh inspiration and ideas? Wherever you are in your counselling journey, it can feel exciting yet overwhelming and I would love to help.
I have been a therapist for over 16 years, beginning in a charity setting and, in more recent years, working within my own private practice. My background includes supporting people experiencing anxiety, low mood, family conflict, relationship difficulties, depression, ADHD, and self-esteem challenges. I am also a trained EMDR therapist, helping people to heal by processing distressing memories from difficult life experiences.
What matters most to me is connection, trust, honesty and working together in support of you and the work you do with your clients. My approach focuses on providing an environment that supports your development as a therapist. I work with both students and qualified therapists, and I’m highly experienced in providing reports for college and university requirements.
If you’re curious or have questions, please feel free to get in touch I’d love to chat and see how we can work together.
My Supervision fee is £60 per 1.5 hours
I offer a free 20-minute introductory call, where you can ask about my supervision style and background, as well as to discuss your learning style or any areas of support you may require. My aim is to ensure that our partnership is the right fit for you and that your professional journey is well supported.
I look forward to hearing from you.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
