Supervision details
With me, you will receive safe, effective and high quality supervision. I am professionally employed by a university as a clinical tutor and supervisor. I have worked within primary care talking therapies services offering supervision to trainee and qualified colleagues for the past 8 years. I regularly receive feedback that I am the best supervisor my supervisees have ever had.
I believe this is due to my warmth, genuineness and caring nature. You will learn something about therapy and yourself in every supervision session. I regularly practice third wave CBT interventions including emotional regulation strategies and compassion focused interventions. I particularly specialise in imagery based work and supporting my supervisees to build their confidence in working with trauma.
As a therapist, I am interpersonally excellent and deliver CBT, third wave interventions such as compassion focused therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy. I am a qualified EMDR practitioner.
I believe the best supervision is delivered in a similar way to great therapy. I will guide you, support you, ask you important and challenging questions and show you understanding and respect. I will not tell you what to do, lecture or patronise you. I look forward to working together.
The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
