Supervision details
I am currently undertaking my CPCAB Level 6 Certificate in Therapeutic Supervision and am offering free online supervision to a small number of counsellors while I complete my training.
I am an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist, and alongside my private practice, I lead a college counselling service, supporting and overseeing a team of counsellors.
For me, supervision is about creating a space where you feel comfortable being yourself, talking openly about your client work and exploring the challenges that come with being a counsellor.
I believe that supervision should be collaborative and tailored to the individual. We all work differently, and what one counsellor needs from supervision may be very different from another.
Some people may need reassurance and support, while others may want to be challenged, explore different perspectives or develop their confidence in their clinical work.
My approach is warm, open and non-judgemental, but I also believe that good supervision involves being curious, asking questions and sometimes looking at things from a different angle.
As I am currently training, I am looking to work with counsellors who would be happy to be part of that journey. Sessions are offered free of charge during this period and take place online via Google Meet.
If you are interested, I would be very happy to arrange an initial conversation to find out a little more about you, what you are looking for from supervision and whether we would be a good fit.
