Supervision details
Hello and welcome.
I offer inclusive, integrative supervision for practitioners working with children, young people, and adults. My approach is grounded in the Hawkins and Shohet Seven-Eyed Model, providing a reflective and collaborative space that explores the client, interventions, therapeutic relationship, practitioner process, supervisory relationship, wider systems, and the broader context in which the work takes place.
As my background mainly lies in the trauma world, I work primarily from a trauma-focused lens and welcome those working in the field of trauma. Working from this perspective, I recognise the impact of adversity, attachment experiences, and systemic influences on both clients and practitioners. My supervision process aims to promote safety, curiosity, and professional growth, while supporting ethical and effective practice.
My supervision style is supportive, reflective, and responsive to individual learning needs, creating a space where practitioners can explore challenges, celebrate successes, and enhance their clinical practice. I often work with creative thinking and often use metaphors, analogies and more to deepen self-awareness. From this, I am keen to encourage reflection on strengths, resilience, and the relational dynamics that emerge within therapeutic work, helping supervisees deepen their understanding, develop confidence, and sustain their wellbeing.
My experience
With over six years of experience as a counsellor, I have worked with a wide range of clients, particularly those who have experienced trauma, anxiety, low mood, attachment-related issues, identity concerns, and family-related challenges. I have specialised training in trauma-informed care, enabling me to create a therapeutic environment that is sensitive, attuned, and responsive to the unique needs and experiences of each individual.
In addition to this, I am trained as a psychotrauma therapist, which equips me to work effectively with complex trauma. This training allows me to support clients in safely exploring and processing deeply rooted traumatic experiences, while fostering resilience, stability, and long-term healing.
My experience also includes working with adults facing addiction as a Therapeutic Intervention Worker and collaborating with mental health organisations such as Mind and Parabl, as well as supporting employees through the iCan project.
As many issues are interconnected, I have developed extensive experience in addressing the complex nature of trauma and its impact on mental health. I am confident in my ability to offer a high standard of support tailored to your individual needs.
I have experience working with children aged 3 and above, with a particular focus on supporting children who have experienced sexual trauma. My work with children often involves exploring a range of mental, behavioural, and developmental needs, including learning difficulties, ASD, and ADHD symptoms.
A final note
Finding the 'right' sort of supervisor for your practice can be a challenge, however I hope I have provided a flavour of my practice and way of working to support you to discover what feels appropriate for what you are seeking to enhance and deepen your practice. If you would like to learn more about my way of working, what I am able to offer, and how we may work with one another, please don't hesitate to contact me so we can discuss further.
I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
