About this event

Note: This event is listed as taking place in Pollok Country Park, but that's just one of the multiple locations available.

I am now offering one to four hour sessions where I will facilitate you exploring your connection with nature; this can be for a specific purpose or with a goal in mind (i.e. if you are doing a project or making a piece of work that involves being out in nature and you want to do some prep work) or can be largely unstructured, but still with the space and time to explore and question and ponder.

Strictly speaking, these are not counselling sessions, I think it’s important to make that distinction - that said, there would still be work, dialogue and actions within the space I hold which could be considered therapeutic.

This idea has come about as I have made connections with therapists, trainee therapists, artists, coaches and third sector staff - and there’s been a common thread of nature and the outdoors which has run through all of these interactions and I have felt guided to put something together so that I can offer this.

In the specific context of therapists, this can be a useful starting point if you are considering taking your practice outdoors.

As always, if there are any questions at all, do not hesitate to get in touch.

"I have been wanting to take my client work outdoors for a long time...but I just didn't know where to start or how to approach doing this. After a 3-hour Nature Connection session with Sean, I felt encouraged and empowered. His passion, enthusiasm and calm nature really helped me feel capable and ready! I was armed with new knowledge, confidence and tools and within a few weeks I had my first outdoor clients." - LF, session participant

I am an experienced counsellor with a passion for anything 'outdoorsy'. At the beginning of my counselling training I wanted to integrate this passion and connection in to my work and have developed a range of skills, tools and techniques working with clients since 2017 in an outdoor setting.
