A professional training programme dedicated to the experiential reality of supervising counsellors, psychotherapists and allied healthcare professionals delivered in Sussex.

Content Assessment Requirements

Delivered in 3 day modules, once a month (excluding December) for 7 months. This course is suitable for qualified counsellors and psychotherapists and qualified allied professionals within educational, health and social care settings.

Supervising Individuals
Supervising Groups
Supervising within Organisational Settings
Developmental Stages of Supervision
Difference and Diversity within Supervision
Values and Ethics
Boundaries
Contracts
Evaluation

Assessment:

Portfolio: an organised documented record of learning, experience and reflection
2 x structured written assignments
Case study including taped extract
Self, Peer and Tutor skills assessment
Short Presentation
Requirements:

Minimum 85% attendance
Completion of Portfolio
Have contracted supervision from an appropriate supervisor
Evidenced Log of Practice Hours ( as an individual/group supervisor minimum 10hrs)
Supervisors report
Background reading, research and interest in topics related to supervision
