We are offering places on our diploma in counselling and psychotherapy, working with either adults or children and young people. This course begins in September 2019 and runs for approximately 27 months.

We will be training an innovative and creative mix of Transactional Analysis and person-centred theory and practice, the best of both worlds in an exciting and stimulating environment. Suitable for beginners, subject to previous work or academic experience, and those who have had some counselling training previously.

Running over a Thursday and Friday once a month, the course will provide a mixture of theory, practice, experiential work, discussions, and demonstrations, along with a series of written assignments. Students will also need to complete personal therapy, undertake a voluntary placement to gain 100 client hours, have regular supervision and maintain professional memberships and hold suitable insurance to practice.

This course will provide full membership of BACP, subject to meeting all course requirements, and graduates will need to take BACPs Certificate of Proficiency exam to gain registered membership.
