About me

Hello, and welcome — I’m really glad you’re here.

Taking the step to look for support isn’t always easy, and you don’t have to do it alone. I offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can talk openly about whatever is on your mind, at your own pace.

I work with people facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and feelings of being stuck or overwhelmed. Whether you’re dealing with something specific or just have a sense that things aren’t quite right, we can explore it together.

My approach is collaborative and tailored to you. I believe that you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to support you in understanding your thoughts, emotions, and patterns, while helping you find ways forward that feel meaningful and manageable. I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to suit your individual needs, always with empathy, respect, and curiosity at the heart of our work.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting. Just come as you are.

If you’re ready, or even just thinking about it, I’d be happy to hear from you.

Below are some of the areas I have experience working with:

  • Grief can feel isolating and overwhelming, especially when you’re trying to carry on with daily life. I offer a warm, confidential online space where you can talk openly, feel truly heard, and process things at your own pace. Whether you’re grieving the death of someone you love, or living with a non‑bereavement loss (such as the end of a relationship, a job, or a sense of identity), you don’t have to face it alone.
  • Anxiety can feel overwhelming and isolating. I’ll help you understand how it shows up for you and develop practical coping strategies to ease its impact.
  • Depression can feel lonely and draining, and it can affect your thoughts, mood, and motivation. Together we’ll explore what you’re experiencing, build a manageable coping toolkit, and gently look at what may be contributing to how you feel.
  • Stress can affect you both physically and emotionally, and it can feel overwhelming. Together we’ll explore what’s driving it and find practical ways to help you feel calmer and more in control.

I offer online counselling only, so you can access therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own home. Appointments are available in the morning, afternoon, or evening, and we can meet weekly, fortnightly, or monthly—whatever fits best around your life. If it’s helpful, we can also share techniques and worksheets via Microsoft Teams during sessions.

To help you decide whether counselling with me feels right, I offer a free 30‑minute initial telephone consultation. Ongoing sessions are £45 for 60 minutes, with reduced rates available for students and trainee counsellors. I hold professional counselling insurance, have an up-to-date DBS, and regularly engage in CPD to keep my practice current.

If you’re considering counselling and would like a supportive space to begin your journey, please feel free to get in touch. I’ll respond as soon as I can, and we can take things one step at a time.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Please see a few of my counselling testimonials below:

“At the first session, I found Zoe to be very gentle and calming. She helped me feel safe enough to talk about the sadness, the feelings of guilt and regret. I had not realised just how raw the grief still was. I had ten sessions in all and the last four were devoted to my struggle with social anxiety. I really enjoyed the worksheets we used to examine and assess my assumptions about situations and people and to consider alternative ways of interpreting and responding in social interactions. I feel I have some tools to help me manage social situations more comfortably. I am completely satisfied with my experience of counselling with Zoe, and would have no hesitation in recommending her to others” (Anonymous Client December 2025)

"During my sessions with Zoe, I was able to identify and understand where I was and where I would like to be.... I was able to see and experience small changes. My confidence increased and I felt like I was breathing for the first time, without limits and without judgement...I cannot thank Zoe enough" (Anonymous Client October 2025)

"Thank you for all you have done. I've found the sessions to be really positive and something that has completely changed the way I feel, talk and help others around me, as well as myself" Anonymous Client- August 2025

"I honestly can't thank you enough for everything you have done for me, it is so much appreciated...You've offered your time and helped me go through my past and I be taking it into my future" Anonymous client- October 2024.
