About me

I offer a kind, non-judgmental space to work on what is important to you or causing distress.

If you been feeling sad or lost your motivation. Been feeling anxious or scared about the future… Recently had a big life-event, loss or relationship breakdown - please reach out for an initial and informal chat.

I believe that our therapeutic relationship is the key to change. Once trust is built, we can look at and work on what stands in the way of you becoming the best version of yourself.

After working in the city and experiencing stress and overwhelm, I decided to retrain and become a qualified counsellor.  A particular area of interest is the impact of trauma, how this presents itself and the unwanted affect it has on our lives. My goal and passion is to assist my clients in reaching emotional freedom from these unwanted or reoccurring emotional difficulties.

You are the driving force in your life, and to be reading these words,  you have taken the first step towards change.

We can begin with whatever you feel is relevant or holding you back. Talking therapy provides a platform to improve and move past what can be painful and deep-rooted issues.

Training, qualifications & experience

- A fully qualified Person-Centred Therapist

- Registered with the BACP to maintain high working standards.

I trained in Person-Centred counselling to give me a solid foundation and ability in Therapeutic Counselling.

I have experience working with, but not limited to; anxiety, depression or low mood, bereavement, trauma and traumatic childhood experiences, relationship breakdown, self-harm, suicidal ideation, addiction, loss, loss of direction, fear, panic attacks and having difficulties leaving the house.

My working knowledge, aside from private practice, is within probation services. I have working experience of how early trauma can change the entire direction of our lives.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
