About me

I am a fully qualified and experienced practitioner. As an Integrative therapist trained in Person Centred, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Attachment Informed Therapy I can draw from a variety of methods and techniques. My experience and training enables me to offer a therapeutic style best suited to you and your individual needs/experience.

As a therapist I offer professionalism, genuineness, warmth and non-judgment and will endeavour to build a supportive, respectful and confidential relationship, in which you feel heard, valued and safe to explore and discuss your thoughts, feelings, experiences and goals.

I have significant experience working with a wide variety of issues including; stress, anxiety, depression, childhood issues and abuse, postnatal depression and anxiety, parenting issues, self-esteem and confidence issues, relationship issues, self-harm, anger, abuse, Aspergers/autism, loss and trauma.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I adhere to the new Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.
I offer one to one therapy to adults. I work from the Park Counselling Centre in Coventry, which is a 5 minute walk from the train station and has free parking available on the road outside. I am able to offer in person, or online therapy.

Considering therapy, what next?

Making the decision to start therapy and choosing a therapist can feel overwhelming and anxiety provoking and it is natural to have lots of questions regarding therapy and how it will work. Please feel free to contact me using the contact details on this page, and I will do my best to answer any questions you may have regarding counselling. If you are considering therapy but are unsure or undecided about whether therapy is right for you, or whether I am the right therapist for you and would like a free (15 min) telephone consultation please contact me to arrange this. This will not commit you to starting sessions with me.

Initial session

If following this you decide you would like to begin counselling we can arrange an initial session. When we meet for our first session, I will talk through the therapy agreement and endeavour to answer any questions you may have.  You will have the opportunity to tell me about yourself, what has brought you to counselling and what you are hoping to achieve by coming to therapy.

If after the first session, we are both happy to continue with therapy, a follow up appointment can be arranged. All sessions are charged at the same fee.

Availability

Sessions can Monday to Thursday, day time or evening depending on availability.

Kind Regards

Zoe

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accessibility

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
