About me
Welcome, I’m Zerrin.
I am an Integrative Psychotherapist and clinical supervisor with over 10 years of experience supporting adults, children, and young people through life’s challenges.
You may be struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, personality difficulties, eating problems, addiction, or feelings of being stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about the future. Psychotherapy offers more than symptom relief; it provides an opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of yourself, your relationships, and the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Through our therapeutic relationship, you can gain insight, build resilience, process difficult experiences, and create meaningful and lasting change.
As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw on different therapeutic approaches to create a personalised way of working that is tailored to your individual needs. I believe that every person’s experience is unique, and therapy should reflect that. My aim is to offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you feel heard, understood, and supported to explore whatever has brought you to therapy.
I also have extensive experience working with children and young people experiencing emotional and behavioural difficulties, including anxiety, depression, self-harming behaviours, and eating problems.
Alongside my therapeutic work, I provide clinical supervision to therapists, supporting their professional development and reflective practice.
Whether you are facing a significant life transition, coping with loss, struggling in relationships, or simply looking to understand yourself better, therapy can help you develop greater self-awareness, resilience, and a stronger sense of who you are.
Our initial session is an opportunity to explore what has brought you to therapy and whether we feel we are the right fit to work together. I offer both short-term and long-term therapy, depending on your needs.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a BSc in Psychology (BPS accredited) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP accredited). I have also completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Supervision via Anna Freud/UCL.
I have extensive experience working therapeutically with children, young people, adults, and families across a range of settings including private practice, charitable organisations and local authority. My public sector career has included roles within forensic mental health, addiction services, talking therapies, children’s services.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
