About me
My name is Zehavit and I am a trauma informed person centred counsellor. I love listening and have many years of experience engaging with vulnerable people through mentoring. I found my way into counselling and have since worked with adults who suffer complex trauma, mental, physical and sexual abuse, addiction and PTSD. Traumatic events change us, sitting in our body and mind and leaves us feeling constantly on alert. It can express itself as anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal thoughts and other mental health challenges. I am here to help you process your thoughts and feelings with total warmth and acceptance.
No person is the same and every client's trauma response is different. I firmly believe that understanding ourselves leads to knowing our own reactions allows us to heal and grow. I can provide a safe and calm environment, with empathy and no judgment, within which this healing process can take place.
I use various methods and tools, be they clinical or spiritual, integrating mind body and soul. There is life after trauma and we will work together to learn the best individual way to help you make a change, be resilient and thrive. I integrate many tools and methods to help you fully discover yourself, and I am here to take the journey with you.
Training, qualifications & experience
The core of my practice is humanistic person centred. I am focused on building an individual framework for each of my clients as we get to know each other through sessions. I use art, cards, meditation and spiritual props if you are inclined in that direction but also work traditionally for anyone who is uncomfortable with such methods. The client has full autonomy of the process.
I experience working with complex trauma, PTSD, Bipolar disorders, depression, anxiety, self harm and addiction. Every new client is a world of its own and I am here to see it through your eyes.
I work with individual adults and the elderly. I have experience with counselling in English and Hebrew.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
We will start by identifying where the trauma sits in your body and find ways to regulate your trauma responses. We will focus on your feelings and learn together how to integrate them to allow you to grow as a person. You do not need to delve into painful memories if you are not ready. The focus is on the now. The now is where you heal, survive and thrive.
