About me
I am a qualified psychodynamic therapist, author, speaker, and facilitator with a particular interest in supporting women navigating the pain and complexity of an unrealised motherhood journey.
Many of the women I work with are living with experiences that can feel difficult to name or share openly. They may be struggling with infertility, involuntary childlessness, pregnancy loss, reproductive trauma, the aftermath of fertility treatment, hysterectomy, or the grief of a life that has unfolded differently than expected. Others may be questioning their identity, relationships, sense of purpose, or place in the world when motherhood has not been part of their story.
As a psychodynamic therapist, I believe that our present experiences are often shaped by both conscious and unconscious patterns developed throughout our lives. Together, we can explore how past experiences, relationships, losses, and internalised beliefs may be influencing how you feel about yourself and your current circumstances.
I offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where all parts of your experience are welcome. My aim is not to provide quick answers or solutions, but to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself, give voice to thoughts and feelings that may have remained unspoken, and find a way of living that feels more authentic and meaningful.
Alongside my therapeutic work, I am the founder of Finding My Plan B, a platform supporting women living without children, and the facilitator of Healing Hearts Circles, reflective spaces dedicated to connection, healing, and shared understanding.
I work with adults online.

Training, qualifications & experience
Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling – The Counselling Foundation (2025)
I am a qualified psychodynamic counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I completed a three-year Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling at The Counselling Foundation, which included extensive theoretical study, skills development, personal therapy, and supervised clinical practice. During my training, I completed over 150 hours of client work within a counselling placement, working with adults experiencing a range of emotional and psychological difficulties.
My psychodynamic approach recognises that our present experiences are often shaped by unconscious processes, early relationships, and past experiences. Therapy offers an opportunity to explore these patterns, develop greater self-awareness, and work towards meaningful and lasting change.
Alongside my clinical work, I have many years' experience supporting women living with infertility, involuntary childlessness, reproductive grief, hysterectomy, and the emotional impact of an unrealised motherhood journey. As the founder of Finding My Plan B, facilitator of Healing Hearts Circles, author, speaker, and advocate, I have created spaces where women can explore loss, identity, belonging, and life beyond motherhood with compassion and understanding.
I am committed to ongoing professional development and undertake regular clinical supervision in accordance with BACP ethical guidelines.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
Many of the women who come to me have spent years carrying losses that are not always recognised by others. They may be grieving the children they never had, struggling after fertility treatment, navigating life after a hysterectomy, or trying to make sense of an identity that feels altered by an unrealised motherhood journey.
Often, they tell me they feel isolated, misunderstood, or as though they should have "moved on" by now.
I believe that grief does not follow a timetable. Some losses remain tender because they touch our hopes, identities, relationships, and sense of self. Therapy offers a space where these experiences can be explored without judgement, pressure, or the need to minimise their significance.
While I have a particular interest in supporting women affected by infertility and involuntary childlessness, I also work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, bereavement, life transitions, and questions of identity and belonging.
My approach is warm, thoughtful, and collaborative. Whether you come with a specific difficulty or simply a sense that something does not feel quite right, therapy can offer an opportunity to slow down, reflect, and better understand yourself.
Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting. I aim to provide a space where you can arrive exactly as you are and be met with compassion, curiosity, and respect.
In addition to my counselling practice, I am the founder of Finding My Plan B, author of Dreaming of a Life Unlived: Stories and Portraits of Women Living Without Children, and facilitator of Healing Hearts Circles. Through this work, I have supported and advocated for women navigating the complex emotional landscape of childlessness, grief, identity, and life beyond motherhood.
