About me

Welcome to my page!

My approach is down to earth and warm. I offer support in a space where you can feel heard and understood. If you’re unsure about starting counselling, I offer a free 15 minute consultation no pressure.

In my work with women, I offer support around stress, anxiety, trauma and the challenges that can arise with navigating parenting. I also understand the challenges that relationships can have whether new ones or long term. I will aim to gently guide and empower you to reconnect with yourself, improve emotional regulation, and build confidence in your ability to deal with life’s demands.

With men’s mental health, I help by gently exploring issues around relationships and self-esteem.  I provide a supportive and confidential space where you will feel able to explore what’s beneath the surface, helping your personal growth, self-awareness, and healthier connections.

Young people - I have a strong background in supporting young people facing emotional and psychological challenges, including self-harm, anxiety and major life changes. I also hold an enhanced DBS check.

Overall I offer a supportive non judgemental space where you can feel safe to  be yourself. With the right support, things can start to feel lighter, and it becomes easier to make sense of what’s going on and feel more like yourself again. I believe in the strength of the therapeutic relationship as a foundation for real change and lasting emotional wellbeing with compassion and care.

I am an experienced psychotherapeutic counsellor and hold a Level 5 diploma. I am also a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).

Currently undertaking Level 6 anti-oppressive clinical supervision and will qualify in September 2026.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
