About me
Hello and welcome to my page! My name is Will, I am a counsellor/psychotherapist (Level 6 / BSc Counselling & Psychotherapy) based in Romsey. To me counselling is a supportive, collaborative process that provides a safe space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and life challenges. Whether you’re struggling with stress, anxiety, relationship issues, or simply need someone to listen, therapy can offer valuable tools to help you understand yourself better, heal, and move forward. With compassion and professionalism, I’m here to guide you toward personal growth, emotional well-being, and a more fulfilling life. Together, we can work through difficult emotions and create lasting change.
The journey of counselling can feel intimidating, but it doesn't have to be. Building a strong connection with your therapist is key to walking this path together. It's important to feel safe, heard, and able to explore your vulnerabilities without fear of judgment. These elements are essential to the healing and growth that therapy offers.
My priority is in keeping you at the focal point of our exploration, primarily leaning into a person-centered approach. A person-centered approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that individuals have the innate ability to understand themselves and make positive changes when provided with the right therapeutic environment. In this approach, the therapist creates a supportive, non-judgmental space where the client is the expert on their own experiences. The therapist offers empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard, helping the client feel heard and valued. This approach emphasizes self-acceptance, personal growth, and the development of a deeper understanding of one's feelings, leading to positive change and emotional healing.
For ease of access, I offer both in-person sessions (Romsey town centre) and remote/online sessions. The room I use for face-to-face sessions is spacious, comfortable, and within walking distance from various surrounding car parks/transport links.

Registered Member of BACP (MBACP)
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
