About Me
Hello, I'm Wendy, and welcome to My Green Space Counselling.
Here you'll find a calm, safe and comfortable space to explore whatever is on your mind. My therapy room is nestled in my garden and surrounded by nature, to help you feel relaxed and ready to begin your counselling journey.
I know how dauting it can feel to take the first step and reach out, but I'm here to support you with empathy, understanding, and belief in your capacity to create positive change. Having experienced the power of therapy myself, I know how it can help you gain a deeper insight into who you are and find your voice. My own journey has helped me to build strong boundaries and nurture healthy relationships, and I'm passionate about helping you to achieve the same.
How I can support you
Perhaps you're navigating feelings of anxiety, depression or low self-esteem. Or you're struggling with relationship issues, financial stress, a bereavement, a long term illness or the effects of sexual abuse. Whatever your situation, I offer compassionate and non-judgemental space for you to share your experiences and begin to work through them.
My approach
My approach is humanistic and person-centred, which means our sessions will be guided by your needs and what feels most important to you. Together, we'll gently explore the experiences that have shaped you, build your confidence and find healthy ways to navigate your challenges. I may also draw on other therapeutic approaches, such as inner child work, if together we feel that these would help you.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
